yeah i guess.
Pricing is not too bad in fact.
i paid 700 on my first year for an 09 street triple.
that’s an interesting topic…
I live in Montréal and people are doing it around here.
It is not legal, but i would say it is tolerated.
i am 100% agreed on ryan’s political point of view.
uhmm yeah thanks for your answer.
In fact i would keep my alberta operators licence too.
All you need basically is an adress in Alberta.. that’s all.
If i get pulled over around here all i have to say is that i’m a seasonal rig worker.. and i’m here on vacation… as long as i have my adress in Alberta.
so if my friend has my renewal form and a proof of insurance he could go to the registries and do it for me? just like that without any extra form ? that sounds pretty sweet.
If you are willing to go to calgary to do your test call fast trac motorcycle school,
403-945-9422 her name is Janet and they u can book your test thru them and rent a bike for 50$.
Hope it will help.
I gotta do this 2!
I booked a course with Fast Trac.
Thanks alot dude.
I phoned every other single bike schools in Edmonton and Calgary ans it’s booked solid.. so!!
Cool thanks man!
I meant.. how long from the day you booked your road test to the day u did it, but it looks like u did some sort of training course that gives u the licence at the end, right ?
it’s interesting.. when did u do that, last weekend??
I wouldn’t mind doing this.. but my bike is in Edmonton.. so i would have to find a training school in edmonton and to be really really lucky to find some room for the next weekend.
How much was this test, about 500$ ?
I did ride dirtbikes before but it’s been over a year so it woudn’t hurt myself.. but however i don’t think it is a really big deal this test.. just need an hour or two in a parking lot or in a residential area to get familiar with the bike and it would do her.
Can is ask you what type of bike u got and how much you pay for plate and insurances ?
Thanks for your Help
What about Edmonton ?
I can’t really answer your question because i am in the same situation but i want to ask you something. I got an Alberta operator’s licence but i moved to another province a couple weeks ago.
The thing is.. i did order a motorcycle last fall and i was on a waiting list and i have to go back to Alberta and pick it up next week. I also want to spend a few days in Alberta to do my written test, road test and get the plates and insurances in Alberta and keep it registered over there because it is a hell of a pain in the ass to get a bike licence where i come from.. so i will get it in Alberta and swap it next year.. way way easier.
Here’s what i wanna know :
1- Do you need a learner to get the bike insured.
2- How long did u wait to pass your road test?
3- When u get the bike registered, do you need your learner and a proof of insurance ?
4- When u register do they give you a plate right away or they mail it.
It’s about it….. i called the registries in Edmonton and they told me i could do the road test by may 7th and than i called in a small town and they said just show up today.. pay for it and do it the next monday.
I’ll be waiting for your feedback.. and hopefully u will tell me how’s the road test like.
Cause i’m very tight on schedule.. i gotta fly to Edmonton, do all this.. and ride the bike back.
All’ight.. take it easy ???
