I personally use a contour with two mounting points, one on the side of my helmet and one mounted on the bike shooting through the windshield and frequently switch between the two.

Check out the contrast in some of the footage in this video, grain fields and blue sky with puffy white clouds is pretty impressive for a $200 camera.

or this video shot through the windshield

I’ve owned both, and was completely happy with my Contour until I got the GoPro…better sound, video, camera options, more mounting options…the Contour served me well, but I wouldn’t go back.

I did like the profile of the Contour better, instead of the billboard on your helmet you had a torpedo…but not enough to change my mind.

        Later.
